Founded in 1899 by engineer Sella and lawyer Mosca from Piemonte, the estate began as a rootstock nursery in Alghero, Sardinia, benefiting from the island’s resistance to phylloxera. Over time, it evolved into one of Sardinia’s leading wineries. Its distinctive logo—an ancient Egyptian grape-pressing scene—symbolizes tradition and craftsmanship. Today, Sella & Mosca is known for preserving native varieties and producing wines that reflect the island’s unique terroir.
