The nose is shy for a tequila, offering up some flirtatious caramel and vanilla. On the palate, the barrel-effect of caramel and vanilla return, bolstered by some appropriate sweetness and a fruitiness reminiscent of ripe, yellow plum. The medium finish surprises with some unexpected heat and more of the same fruit. The sin of destroying tequila character with excess barrel influence isn't committed here, but the extra-ageing does little more than tame an already restrained product.
